# Product Introduction
The Rosemount 214C RTD Temperature Sensor adopts Pt-100 single-element or dual-element Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs), covering a temperature range from -196 to 600°C (-321 to 1112°F). As a specialized solution, this sensor features thin-film and wire-wound designs to enhance application flexibility. It offers multiple calibration options, including Class A or Class B sensor accuracy, and provides Callendar-Van Dusen constants for transmitter-sensor matching to achieve high precision.
# Product Parameters
## Specifications
- Temperature Range
- For wire-wound elements: The maximum ice-point resistance drift is 0.05 °C (0.020) after 150 hours of 1g vibration within 20 to 500 Hz in accordance with IEC 60751:2008.
- Lead Wire
- 24 AWG lead wire with FEP insulation; color-coded per IEC 60751.
## Time Constant / Response
- When tested in flowing water as specified by IEC 60751:2008, the sensor achieves 50% response in a maximum of 10.8 seconds.
## Stability
- In accordance with the test method specified in IEC 60751:2008, the maximum ice-point resistance drift is ±0.15 °C (0.059) after 1,000 hours at the maximum rated temperature.
## Insulation Resistance
- Minimum insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ when measured at 500 VDC at room temperature.
## Calibration Options
- IEC 751 Class A or Class B; single-point calibration; scheduled calibration or customer-specified calibration ranges, all supplied with Callendar-Van Dusen constants.
